LIFE: KITTY'S 'LOVE LETTER TO BEDSTUY' VIA THE COVETEUR

My girls over at The Coveteur and Makeup Forever asked me to send a love letter to Bedstuy and take them around my hood for the day. We went to one of my favorite cafes then headed over to C'mon Everybody for a secret party and some drinks. Check out my favorite hues and how to rock them in the video below and check out the full story here.

STYLE + LIFE: 663 [NYFW DAY #4]

Today was one of my most memorable days of NYFW 2016. I was able to do the the sound design for Band Of Outsiders show which was also the re-launch of the brand (no pressure). Not only was the collection amazing but the soundtrack was legendary! In honor of our chosen track by Wu- Tang I sported a "Cash Rules Everything Around Me" dress, it was only right!

See outfit details below:

Dress: Elizabeth Gilligan

Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood

LIFE: #BEUNIQUE PANEL PRESENTED BY DJ UNIIQU3 AT SCRATCH ACADEMY

As Women's History Month comes to an end, I was able to be apart of an amazing panel celebrating female DJ's and empowering aspiring female Dj's to follow their true passion. Hand selected by "The Queen of Jersey" the multi-talented UNIIQU3 hosted a panel #BEUNIQUE at Scratch Academy in NYC and featured myself, Hannah Rad, Gina Turner, and Gun$ Garcia as panelists.

Of course we spilled crazy gems and walked them through our story, hurdles, and what we ingredients allowed us to #BeUnique on our journey as Dj's in a super competitive space. For those who were unable to make it or catch me on Snapchat (@cachee) check out a few quotes from the ladies and images below.

I want to give aspiring artists some insight on how I came up in my scene from DJing DIY events in New Jersey to touring internationally along the likes of Cashmere Cat and working with notable artists including Skrillex. Still being a rookie in a sea of veterans, I’m learning as I grow, and I know I can offer great advice to those whose shoes I’ve been in but only 5 years ago.
— UNIIQU3
Having gained experiences by working in very corporate environments and more relaxed, creative atmospheres, [I’ve learned] how to maintain professional respect and attention in both dynamics, while also remaining true to [myself]...
— Hannah Rad
95% of the people I told didn’t believe in me or think I would be able to get to where I am right now. I’ve learned that most people project their fears onto you, and you can’t let that dim your light. You have to use it as motivation.
— Kitty Cash
My art is essentially trying to have as much fun as possible while doing things that I love! It’s so easy to become a cookie cutter or fit into other people’s sounds, but that also makes you lose touch with who you truly are.
— Gina Turner
Supporting others and their careers only helps you with your career. I love being inspired by the people around me and their successes. [My] intention is to inspire others, but I always end up more inspired than they do.
— Gun$ Garcia

LIFE: CELEBRATING WOMEN IN MUSIC AT THE FIRST AO! GIRL'S NIGHT OUT

In appreciation for Women's History Month, the lovely Ashely Outrageous brought together some of her favorite ladies in music to celebrate our month the right way! 9 women came together, shared laughs, dance moves, more laughs, more dance moves and everything in between. Sending a lot of love to my "Teletubbies": Jasmine SolanoMartina McFlyyMs. NixRavie BJessica LehrmanCayla Cousins and Ramya Velury.

Nestled in the Clinton Hills, Brooklyn, is a vibrant brownstone created by Sour Patch for artists to have a safe place to lodge and create. The house is literally loaded with Sour Patch candy everywhere and was decked out with treats and goodies for us throughout the night. There was a makeup station by Makeup Forever where Mimi beat my face to the GODS and GODESSES of the universe!

Then there was an accessories station by Martine Ali.  I love her jewelry; I ended up snagging the bandana choker and wearing it all night long. Her products are limited in supply and made here in America which makes it even more special!

After we got all dolled up and started with a few glasses of wine, we had a private listening session by one of Def Jam's newest artist, Jahkoy. I have been following Jahkoy via Sound cloud for about two years now so it's always great to make that connection in real time.

After Jahkoy serenaded us, we scrambled into our Lyfts, because of we were running a little behind schedule. We headed to Webster Hall to catch a performance by Tinashe with an opening set by Jahkoy. Ladies and gentleman if you missed it...don't ever again!!! Tinashe KILLED it...in between the booty pops and splits we were all in heaven and danced the night away.

Post the show some of the girls went home early but Raven, Ramya, and myself grabbed some Philly Cheese steaks and dropped in to a quick party before we headed back to The Patch. When we got back we threw on our oh so comfy One pieces and it was pretty damn hilarious. Just think Spice Girls meets Teletubbies hahahaa! Girl Talk all night long with throwback southern jams and twerk lessons that led to a R&B glossier face party in the bathroom.

I say all of that to say, sometimes it is so hard to catch up with your friends in the city with everyone on the road to greatness; but I enjoyed every second with these beautiful spirits and I can't wait for part two!
